Financial Aid & Scholarships

A Survival Guide to the 2026 Financial Aid Changes

4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Downtown Campus Library Room 153 (LB-153)

Join the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships in person or online for an informative session led by Aurie Clifford, Assistant Director of Title IV Compliance.

The financial aid landscape has shifted dramatically, but with the right information and tools, students can successfully navigate through these historic updates. This session is designed as your ultimate toolkit for maximizing student funding and keeping higher education paths wide open.

We will map out enrollment intensity, explain the updated Parent PLUS loan caps, and clarify the new rules for balancing Pell Grants with generous outside scholarships. You’ll get a "Financial Aid 101" breakdown of how to strategically evaluate private loan alternatives to bridge funding gaps. Finally, we’ll empower you to advocate for yourself through special or unusual circumstances and navigate the financial aid protocols with confidence.
